How It Works

From scheduling to certification, in four steps.

The same process behind 50,000+ inspections since 2004.

01

Schedule

Submit builder, address, and inspection type — get an automatic email confirmation the same day.

02

On-Site Testing

Blower door, duct blaster, insulation, or air-sealing verification performed on-site by an accredited rater.

03

Document

Results recorded, photographed, and checked against code and program targets.

04

Certify & Report

Submitted to RESNET’s National Registry, with a copy ready for permit sign-off.

Why Hire an Accredited HERS Rater

Independent verification, not a favor to the builder.

A RESNET-accredited HERS Rater is an independent third party with no financial stake in whether a home passes. That independence is exactly what gives a rating its value — to code officials, lenders, and buyers alike.

SENERCON maintains its own internal Quality Assurance process, overseen by a RESNET-approved QA Designee, so accountability doesn't stop with the field inspector.

El Paso Electric Program

The ENERGY STAR New Homes Program

El Paso Electric rewards builders whose homes beat New Mexico energy code — with rebates paid directly to the builder or their sub, on top of a stronger, more marketable home.

For EPE's New Mexico service territory only — it does not apply to El Paso, TX.

SENERCON is EPE's most active New Mexico participant — recognized for the highest volume of participating homes in the program.
